why is the 300ex 1000 more for 70 cc's? what else besides the slightly bigger motor makes it worth the extra dough?

i had a 250 n my friend had a 300 at the same time....now i have a 400 and he has a 450 but anyway...250 is heavy for its size, driveshaft, auto clutch, hardly any shocks like 5" of travel, slow very slow
