I sent you a PM.

By the way, how do you like the 13 tooth sprocket? I'm guessing you are running 18" MXR4's. The gearing is not too low with that setup?

That's what I was thinking. I was told by someone to try this setup but was kinda skeptical. Thanks.

I live east of Houston about an hour and half. Just outside of Beaumont. But I am in Houston a lot at the tracks whenever it is dry. There are quite a few fun tracks around there. Do you ever go out to them? San Jacinto Cycle Park(Splendora), Highlands, and Three Palms.

I was thinking of going one up in the back. I wanted a little lower gearing for the starts for less wheel spin. I'm pretty low on cash right now though. Just bought suspension.

you mean down? up would give you lower gearing more spin right

I got a JE 3-ring piston from White Brothers for $160. Cheaper than Sparks.

Not sure what it would do. I figured with the lower gearing, I could grab another gear quicker on the start. The faster you grab another gear, the faster your quads gonna go. My motor is stock except for an HMF slip on and no airbox lid with the carb jetted. If you put a meaner piston in with your HRC cam, I don't think you would have any trouble grabbing gears a lot earlier than me. I'm gonna try to get through the season without any motor work unless I stumble across an HRC cam for cheap.

i know with the 13t i was grabbing gears like crazy and it was not near as fast, loooooots of wheel spin and all over the rev limiter.

I see what you're saying. What I'll probably do is stick with what the setup I have right now and just hope for the best for next season. I had been getting pretty good starts all last season. I'm gonna take my chances with what I have.
