I recently (as in 2-3 months ago) put in an 11.1 wiseco piston in with new valves, a new tensioner and new guides. Since this there has been a clanking like sound coming from the engine. I think this is the timing chain, what do you guys think?
It progressively got louder so I stopped riding it, and now am gonna look at it.
While i am in there i am putting a stage 1 cam in and a rev box.

yeah, from what I've read "clanking" is usually the timing chain. good luck.-darren
are yiou sure you installed the cam chain tensioner correctly???? Like taking the small screw out and rewinding the little spring in there????

I used the small key the tensioner came with to wind it o compress it.

are the valves adjusted right? just so you know, the stage 1 cam does tick pretty good. it isn't one of the quietest cams. i felt it performed great for smaller bores or bikes that want all around performance.
