Exhaust question?

I have a WB E series on my 250ex and i was wondering if it is ok to run it with out the spark arrestor? Is it bad for the engine or will not make a diffence in it? I know it will be a whole lot louder. Has anyone else done tried this before?

Aren't the WB E-Series designed to take advantage of the spark arrester due to the way the exhaust exits through the discs? It may make it louder, but I would venture to guess it would hurt the performance. Just my thoughts...I would just call and ask White Bros, they are really helpful.

Just make shure its jetted adequately for the switch.

400exracerx and i both run our 400 without s/a and it is a lot louder and don't ride in trails with out the s/a it is a big fine.!!!!
anyways i felt that it pulled a lot harder from 2nd to 5th than before and i was running the same jetting, till now i figure it might be better to try some other jet so i am trying it now , but really if you have close jetting so should run okay, i only run it on mx tracks or else it is back in the pipe.

Would a Yoshimura be louder without the s/a? It has a spout not discs.

Yeah its a little louder without the screen. it helps it flow better too. i took my screen out of my old Yosh!!
