Pre-Mix gas in my 440...

Ok, here's the deal. Me any my friend swapped gas cans by accident and I THINK that I topped off my quad w/ about 1 gallon of 40:1 pre mix that he uses in his modded Blaster. I did'nt realize untill today and we rode all Tuesday. My quad was flooding and wouldn't idle. I put in my 42 pilot jet and removed my choke today and went to start her up. She ran good and I got her to idel ok, but there is a little puff of black smoke when I give it a jab of throttle. Also, it takes a few seconds to return back to idle. Anyways, my question is, I still have about half a tank of 40:1 and regular gas in the quad. I don't want to spill it out or have to dispose of it. Will it do any permamint damage to the engine by running the quad w/ this little bit of oil in the gas? Thanks guys, JOE

It will run like crap, and smoke a bit. You can also bet on buy a new spark plug. I'd just dump your fuel tank in your neighbors yard:D Joking. Dont do that, but really a new tank of gas is cheaper then sparkplugs.

let it drain into a tank and give it to your friend with the blaster.

I would do that, but its not a 40:1. I had about 1/2 a tank of straight gas before I added it. I don't want to give him a mystery ratio and have his quad sieze up.

If anything he would have a richer mixture since the fuel being added already has some premix in it. Its better to be a tad rich than lean.;)

Oh, sorry, forgot to mention its a modded blaster w/ oil injection block off. He runs pre mix in the tank. You guys are good!:D

Running mixed gas in a four stroke will not hurt a darn thing. The only side effect is improved top end lubrication, which ultimately causes a cooler running engine.......bummer.;)

I don't think the mixed gas caused you the problems, I think it was the quality of fuel. I've run mixed gas in my quad countless times without a hint of trouble.

Just top it off with your usual fuel and don't shed another tear about it! :D
I used to dump my mixed fuel into my truck if we didn't use all of it up riding. It's all good
