we have a massive deer overpopulation here.

i was told the rules say you can take one buck and 3 does per type of weapon...if not then dont tell the game warden

yup, heard about that :( some guy trespassed onto a deer camp and was in one of their stands, when comfronted by members of the camp he shot and killed 5 and injured 3, he only got caught cuz he ran out of ammo......that gives us hunters a bad name.......thats just pretty redicolous if u ask me, that someone would do that

but the gay thing is we cant hunt on sundays....
i passed up 7 does first day of blackpowder and then missed one.i dunno about everyone else but around here we hunt deer with dogs.
actually on are license, we have 3 either sex tags, and 2 antlerless only, so we can kill 3 bucks in all season from bow to end of reg gun season and can kil 2 of either per day, as long as its a doe day.

from 20 yards...

i was watching an archery tournament on OLN today...some guy hit a moving fake deer in the throat (where they had placed the target) at 62 yards:eek2:

he won a bruin 350 for it...for that kind of shot he deserves a grizzly if you ask me

ive seen people kill deer with smaller guns that a 20ga, in some counties around here, its illegal to use rifles. we mostly usae 12ga and shoot some type of buckshot.

News posted last night, that he killed 6 now. They said one of the critically wounded died as well!

Also he said that they shot at him first. That is B.S. Who hunts with an SKS???
Also 8 of them and 1 of him. I do not care who he is. He would not have got them all!

I hope they fry his arse for being such an idiot!!! I mean c'mon, he still was trespassing!!! I do not know about anywhere else. But, here in Ohio that is an instant $500 fine. No written permission is an additional $500.

I guess I look at it as he was in the wrong from the moment he got on the property!

Well, does anyone have anything on the ground THIS year to show for?......The rut should be over in most of the northern states, so there should be a few wall hangers harvested out there.

sorry...i forgot about using slugs. That's illegal here though. And the limit is 1 buck and 3 does per DAY...so if you used a bow, a rifle, and black powder, you could bring home 12 deer a day

Yeah....I kind of always go after the best toys...lol.

Here is a picture of my bowhunting friend when we was in Iowa last year!! 12 pt scored 160. The year before this one he killed a 13 pt scored 186 and I killed a 11 pt scored 130. Iowa has some really big deer. All of our Iowa bucks had 30 inch necks and weighed 300lbs.
