Just for fun...............

Remember when the fast guys on fourstrokes were modding 250x's and 300ex's?

You could see the top pro's racing them at Nationals.

When wild fourstrokes were 250r chassis's with 350x motors in them?

And when the 400ex came out and that was the bad a** machine everyone was drooling over?

Man, are the times changing..............Quick........ :ermm:

I used to think my XR200R was bad ***, but compared to brand new ones it still has just as much suspension and a stronger motor. But its still a 200cc, after getting on the 400ex I can't ride it anymore lol.

Well I'm 33, so I got memories all the way back to when we all rode fast Honda ATC three wheelers.:o If you had a ATC 200x, you were the man! It had FULL suspension!:p

I rode my 1982 ATC 185s with no suspension all day and jumped it. It taught me the difference between a good landing and a bad landing in a hurry! :p

Theres an ATC90 out in the shed, NO SUSPENSION, that was the first thing I had to ride I think, it smoked like a freight train and the rear bearings are basically gone, and it had no muffler.

Its retired now, doesn't run.

Anyone remember when Wooly Booger tires were popular like Razor 2's are today?

Sounds like a great winter restoration project! Getting it all back to original would be sweet.

i remeber the days when 250rs dominated everything, the days when lt80s owned the mini class and when the 400ex was the quad of the decade.. i really miss those days, with the 450s and stuff, racing isnt to cheap ne more, you almost have to have a 450 to be competitve, i love seening 250rs and 400ex's out there giving them hell at the local tracks though :macho

then the days turf tamers were the top tire of choice, i still love them :D

I wonder how many 2005 Banshee's are being bought and just being stored in garages so people have them.

The race that was stomped out by the EPA. One of the toughest races ever! And the "Mud Fleas" that waited throughout the course to help the riders through the incredibly difficult couse. A friend of mine who still rides a Honda 250r is one of the racers from this race.
Barry Hawk, Chuck Delula, and the late Bob Sloan were the premier racers there.

What amazes me, is 15 years later you still can't get the rush you got on a tecate 250 or 250r 3-wheeler. Poor kids are missing out.

Remember doing wheelies while seated and you could actually see where you were going? Being able to turn on a dime? Machines weighing under 300lbs? :ermm:

Yeah, those Tecate three wheelers in 1986 were awesome. I used to ride one that belonged to a friend of mine, and WOW was it fast! I miss 3 wheelers too.:(

No joke. I grew up on my dad's 84 200 Big Red, and Grandpa's 85 Big Red. Now my buddy has an 85 250R. That thing is wicked fast, and he can beat most people through the trails where we ride.

I got my start on my uncles atc 185 and there big reds. I jumped on one of the big reds last summer and rolled it after going about 3 feet. Didnt have a problem with them when i was younger.

I took my quad out there last year and had my uncles and grandpa ride it (never seen an 85 year old man on a 440 before or since then) . They about craped they wernt ever on anything like that before.
