I'm looking into getting shocks for my 400ex and I have narrowed down to elka and tcs because axis is to expensive, pep has to long of a wait and works isnt as good as elka or tcs and I just wanted to know what shocks you think are better and allso I have full stock suspension, and I ride mx.

The Elka's are the better shock. TCS is good but not at the level of Elka's.

I've never ridden a set of plush TCS, thay all feel cheap and stiff to me, but that's not saying all of them are like that. Love my Elkas and like most I have ridden. Check out Ohlins too, they make some great shocks.

i got a set of elka's, front and rear. if you are riding mx, both are a must if you can afford it. i havent got to try mine on the track yet, but from what i have seen so far, very nice shocks. i got them used from exrider member's.

it depedns on how they are setup, i had some tcs on my 400ex when i had it and loved them, i bought them b/c i got them at a deal and had derisi revalve them for me, and i ridden elkas i liked less and ive ridded elkas i liked about the same or better

I think both would be good, sometimes it comes down to how long you want to wait for your suspension. Elka normally has them to your door in 1 to 2 weeks normally 1 week now that is fast most of the other companies are 3-6weeks

I ended getting tcs's and I ordered them on monday and they were done on that thursday and since tcs is by my house I didnt have to ship them. I havent got to ride with them yet but they lowered my bike about 2 inches and the shocks look awesome.
