Removing Stock a-arm bushings

I'm putting in some poly bushings on my 300ex but i am having trouble getting the center portion out of my stock arms. They have clips that are recessed. I've tried taking some small screwdrivers and prying them out, but to no avail.

any suggestions on how to get them out?

There are special ring/clip tools but try an ice pick or something sharp and work the clips out.

Then I used a small socket and pressed the old ones out.
