Does anyone know the compressed length of a custom axis 19 inch front shock for a 450r? The compressed length is the free length minus the full shaft length(no bottom out bumper). If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

It depends on what A-arms you are using.

Not really. A 19" shock is a 19" shock. It doesn't really matter what a-arms i am using. Anyways they are for my custom a-arms and i need the info to obtain my leverage ratio.

YES it does matter all companies are using different ratios therefore it does matter. If you are building them build them and call Axis and they will be able to set your shocks for your A-arms.

I have already done that. They need the MOTION Ratio. I need the compressed length of the shock to determine the motion ratio. Go to customaxisshocks.com and read the technical manual. Then you will understand why I need this info.

Eyeball has a 13 3/4
I have done the measuring for PEP many times. I was just saying if you know what you are doing you should build the A-arms yourself and then measure it most companys stay around the 2.0 leverage ratio that would be 5 1/4 shaft travel for 10 1/2 wheel travel.

To get the compressed length you will need to put the bike on 2x4 front and rear and the lift it up 10 1/2 inches off the 2x4 to get extended length.

Thanks. I took a guestement off my stock shocks and converted it to the 19" specs. I didn't know how accurate i was but your info helped out alot. I figured it was going to be around 13 1/2 compressed. My leverage ratio shoud be good then because with that measurment i got about a 2.1. Thanks again Rob.
