It would help to keep it cool if you have any major motor mods. As far as where to run the lines just use the stock oil that goes from the base to the head. Cut the line in to hook both end to a oil cooler. pretty simple.

thanx, that sounds like it would be the ideal place for it to go. I was just wondering cause i have a hook up to get them, so if anyone needs one, i can prolly hook u up.

I forgot to say that you can just put the oil cooler in the front of the frame like they do on 400 with 2 coolers.

Well for mine I just used, It's like a zip tie but it's steel and there is a screw to put it tight. Sorry don't know what it's called. Just a clamp I guess.

i went to autozone and bought the smallest tranny cooler i could find ($25) and used it. i just ran the lines up the center of the frame.

just a tip.
when putting back on your top oil line bolt, even tho its hard to get to on the 300ex, make sure you really tighten it as much as you can because mine sprung a leak half way through my 1st ride with my new oil cooler... keep an eye on the lines for leaks...

I bought my oil cooler from 4 stroke tech, and just as it is in the pictures is how they told me to set it up. They sent zip ties to put it onto the frame, but I might try to find something better.

That is all i have holding mine on in the pics above. I did put a piece of rubber where ever the frame and cooler came in contact so it wouldn't rub a hole in the cooler. I've rode it hard and it ain't budged yet.
