i wonder if there will be 4 stroke weed eaters and chain saws and stuff like that. that would be really weird.

that talk has been goin on for years
"In 2000 all 2-stokes will be gone."
"In 2001 all 2-stokes will be gone."
"In 2002 all 2-stokes will be gone."
"In 2003 all 2-stokes will be gone."
"In 2004 all 2-stokes will be gone."
Now apparently its a rumor for 2005 and 2006.
I don't believe it anymore, if they cancel 2-strokes there will be a huge anouncment and all the stores will have signs saying, come get the banshee, its the last year for them.

lol, i bet theyd make parts like "new 06 banshee engine for your old banshee" and "new lighter 06 banshee frame for your old banshee". basically a build it yourself so they dont get in trouble for making a complete 2 stroke

It doesn't mean you can't ride them, just won't be able to buy them, so just put a fresh motor in your 2-stroker and keep on pollutin and blowing all the 4-strokers away :D

Well, if you take a comparable 2-stroke, it will blow you away, quit comparing a 350cc bike to a 450cc bike :p Althought, I imagine a banshee with some goodies on it will own all kinds of 4-stroke quads.
Now if I could just figure out how to put the 2-stroke 500cc twin cylinder Yamaha motors out of my jet skis in my 400ex we would see whats fast haha.

2 strokes as in quads and bikes don't even have near the effect pollution wise compared to cars or jets. OHV don't hardly amount to anything they aren't big enough motor wise to compare to other vehicles pollution.

They're outlawing 2-strokes in 06' that dont have X amount of wheel travel (can't remember exact amount), has a light, and some other rule.

i dont think they will ban them, there are teo many things that depend on them, not just bikes and quads, things like soem ocean liners will use 2 stroke engines
