Bandits for racing??

i have a 400ex, just rebuilt ,and fmf power core 4.
right now i have 20" holeshots. whare i ride there are deep ruts and lot of mud. but i am also thinking of racing. what kind of tire should i get.
i was thinking bandits xc
should i get 22" and get 14 tooth front sprocket????

i had bandit fronts on my 300 and i liked them, they were way to heavy for motocross thought.... they WERE indestructable though, mine lasted like 2 years hahah..
up to you... i am going with the Holeshot MX's
