250R Mechanical Seal Install

Whats the proper way to install the Mechanicla seal on a 86' 250R Honda? I was told if you use a seal driver it will ruin the seal Please HELP!!! Thanks in advance.

i used a socket that was big enough to fit over the rubber part, but still rest on the metal part that presses into the case. then i just...tapped it in slowly.

This is how I've seen it done. I didn't do mine myself, because I screwed the first one up.

ya i was worried about messing mine up, but i wanted to ride so ended up just figuring it out. :p
