What is the differance between a 416-426 (not just cc)? Is a 426 still a stock cylinder? Is a 426 worth the extra 10cc? Finally can you bore a 426 again or is it your last bore? Thanks in advance for the help I am trying to decide what to do.

The 426 is the max you can bore your stock sleeve. It will have a little more bottom end than the 426 but will run much hotter. I recommend the 416 because if it ever goes you can bore it again without changing the sleeve.

Wow that sucks! Did you have anything as of a bigger oil cooler or air scoops and also did you have your quad jetted properly?

What if you get an LA sleeve and bore it to 426... still run hot?

running a 440 sleeve for a 426 will be much better then using the stock sleeve. it wont break as easy and should run cooler. i suggest getting atleast airscoops though.

How are you gona put a smaller piston in a bigger cylinder? You will have mad blow by and piston slap. Put a 426 piston in a 440 cylinder. Not gona work

I have had my 426 for almost a year now ,other than a Cam issue(seems it was a Cam defect ) mine has been great!!! I am getting to where I need to put in another piston after this series is over I plan on doing that .:) Get a set if Tineer scoops and you will be fine ;)

I al ready have air scoops and an over size oil tank. I am sure this will help alot. I think I like the sound of a 416 better one more bore is not a bad thing. Althought I might might not have it in a year or two anyway. ELECTRIC START 450R? Maybe if it ever happens.

It is easy to do provided the "440" sleeve starts at 88mm.. and most manufacturers build for 88mm instead of 89mm nowadays.
