My friend has a 95 300ex he traded his CR125 in for, supposedly has a 12:1 piston or something, I haven't seen it yet, but he said the motor had a little noise and he thought the cam chain was stretched and ask me if I could help him replace it. Well, I haven't worked on any 300s, just a 85 XR200R with the RFVC 200cc motor which is very similar in design to the RFVC on the 400ex, but I don't think the 300ex uses the RFVC design, so how difficult will replacing the chain be? I'v gone through pretty much a whole RFVC motor, so I figured it shouldn't be too hard. I have a factory service manual for the 85 200R also.
