Any plans for such a thing? I think maybe Hatfield-McCoy or Windrock would be a good place to have like a spring EXRiders gathering of some sort...

you should team up with the hatfield management team and have like a huge event like an EXRiders weekend or something like that. Maybe even something kinda like dirtriot but more of a family get together type thing, possibly with a race, a nicest quad contest, concert, picnic, etc...

we take over the town when we're there, and all the bars, etc, etc. We've had up to 50 people at the campground, took over the big screen TV at the dragstrip/hillclimb/bar an grill. Were' there for several days and we practically take over the trails when were there.

it definatly has to be a few days soo that us folk that live a million miles away can go and not have to pack up again until we leave

Hell yea... we basically ruled Logan WV, including the jiggly room!

Now that I'm all married and stuff, things are slowing down... I can finally make time for those rides again. :D

Go do a search for Hatfield McCoy. There are tons of pics. Enough riding is done to make you sore for the trip home.

hehe my dad and i went fishing on the Kenai Peninsula two summers ago, and it was pretty comfortable. It's a different heat down here because of the humidity. 100 degrees to you is about the same as 80 down here.

Ya I hear ya .... we hit High 80's here , and I just want to die . We got the great lakes just an hour away so it gets humid alot . For once I'd like to experience a dry heat .... something like Arizona heat . But I'm usually comfortable with the temps in the 60's

If it's in the upper states ... like PA or Michigan , I can most likely make it . Thats if the border police let me through :macho

How about an EXR ride at Silver Lake Sand Dunes???

I get to go to Phoenix for a week in April...cant wait to see what a dry heat feels like.

Cutting grass in July down here certainly isnt fun...especially after a 10 minute thunderstorm- when the sun comes back out it feels like you could slice the humidity with a knife.

I lived in humid NC and went to Las Vegas this past summer, over 100* and it was dark out... I still thought it was hot, but it wasn't nothing like over 100* in NC, I thought it felt real weird that the temp guage in the burb said 108* and the sun wasn't even up

Maybe we should have an EXRiders South/East Coast ride at Hatfield McCoy, and then let other members organize a ride in the Northeast/Canada/Upper Midwest, then another one in the Southwest (Glamis?) and maybe one in the Northwest...

Quad18star
11-18-2004, 06:07 PM
You know it's hot and humid , when you wake up in the middle of the night ... sweating even though your fan and AC is on .... and you need to jump in the shower just too cool off .

Humidity sucks .... it makes it tough to breath . Our dehumidifier runs non stop during the summer , and I swear I have to empty it about 3 or 4 times a day .

Ya that's a pretty good Idea .... It would be great to have a Canadian Ride , but we aren't enough Canadian members on this board . And we all live far away from eachother ... DEAL and Blondie are out east .... I'm in the Middle ... and a few guys out West .... all atleast a 3 day drive from eachother.

We drilled a hole in the bottom of the tank on ours and ran a hose to a drain in the floor. No more emptying.

I wish I could do that with mine ... it would save alot of hassle ... but the one we bought , has sort of like a bobber so when it gets too full , it automatically shuts itself off . If it would drain all the time , the thing would run non stop .

I'd definately try and make the Northwest one! Glamis is just a lil to far away (1000 miles) I don't know where would be a good place for a ride in the northwest though, there isn't really any parks like you guys have in the east!

Most days we come back to the trucks so you could refuel than. Only one day you may have to worry, but I don't think anyone ever had a problem.

There is usually a couple of 4x4's so you could probably stow some gas with them if needed.
