Close but no it is a spadefish. #for# one of the most incredible fights in the ocean. That fish took a half hour to get in w/ 8# test.

Cape Charels, VA Which is on the eastern shore of VA on the Delmarva penisula. I caught that fish 22 miles offshore near the Cheaseapeake tower.

Yeah all those permit/pompano/spadefish type fish fight hard. I snagged an 18 pound african pomano a few years ago and i took me half an hour...the only thing that has fought harder for me has been marlin and bonefish

22 miles is nothing... We take my fathers 19' Grady White 60 miles off shore into the gulf stream and chunk for tuna *AT NIGHT* yeah we either have big balls or are real stupid
