View Full Version : manuel clutch conversion kit, for 250ex

does anyone know were i can get a manuel coversion kit for a 2001 250ex, or maybe a big bore kit, or do you know if i can put a race header on my quad and not a slip on pipe just keep the stock one with the end cap off

don't know if these exist or not, but it would seem like if it did, it would be costly. probably be cheaper in the long run to get either a 300/400ex. i suspect you're somewhat limited with what you can do on the 250ex. however, there are more aftermarket parts for the 250ex coming out now, so just keep an eye on the magazines and you might find what you want. the 250ex was just not designed for what you have in mind.

I was wandering the same thing because im tired of just having to shift, it doesnt seem right, and i think the quad itself is to slow, my friend blows me away and im tired of losing, so if anyone knows where i could find one in the area of Scranton PA please tell me i would really appreciate it.:)

my 250ex is not that slow i have some modes notthing expensive, i have beet 300ex, in drag race, and even one warrior, but if you want something really fast get you a dirt bike, my bike can beat 400ex, raptor, and some banshee

You guys are wasting your money. Just go out and buy a 300EX. You'll save yourself a bunch of $$$ and it will be 10x more reliable.

with a manual clutch you have to do more work work and you still have to shift

its not hard! i learned on a 125 dirtbike to ride a manual! all ya do is pull in the le ver give it just a smidge of gas ease it out youre out then all you do is just feather the clutch when youre shiftin like just roll your hand on it and thats it no real work there and unlike a auto you cn stay on the gas the whole time!

Forget the 300, just go to a 400. :blah I first thought that I could mod my 250 but the suspension just dont cut it and its limited on power. I can keep up with most things but its a rought ride doin it.....especially when ya ride with people like Rico. :cool:
I did hear somin bout White Brothers comin out with a big bore kit but im not positive on it. Clutch kit would be great but it would prolly cost ya an arm and a leg.........save yourself the trouble and get a bigger and better quad.
