What paddle tire is the best for drag racing my 440ex up sand mountain, Ut . I have 11.1 wiseco 440 piston, hotcam stage 2, fmf powerbomb header, pro circuit T4 pipe, Uni filter with no lid, and white bro's rev box as far as engine work. I have sand stars now and my dad just bought a 250x/350x conversion and he said he would buy me streight paddles if I gave him my sand stars. I was thinkin maybe 8 paddle haulers.

That is what I recommend. Although the sandstars are really good paddles.

440, you might want to go with a 10 paddle but watch your tire height, the taller you go the faster you will go but you will loose bottom end. The smaller the tire the quicker you will be, and dont forget to go down a tooth on your front sprocket, rev it up and pop the clutch in 2nd gear! :D Oh yeah and hold on!

22x11x8 glider 7 paddle, run at 3psi so they arent quite as tall, but they start to get taller as you speed up. On my bike at a stand still they are 2 inches from touching the back of my nerfs and if I look down at full speed they are almost touching them. thats just the tire combo that I have found to work best and I have tried alot.

by the way this is with a 14 tooth front, but you maybe could run a 15 depending on your mods.

sand stars are definately out because they are too heavy, best tires for you .....20x10x8 8 paddle haulers, dont get 10 paddle you will lose topend, you dont have enough power for them. and keep your 15 tooth frt spkt so you dont lose bottem end if you want to race the hill...

all I do is race the hill I dont race anything flat. and I have a 14 tooth front sprocket. Im about 145 pounds.

I had a 400ex with 20-10-10 9 paddle haulers, pipe and K+N and I was faster than the same with 8 paddles. The extra paddle I think really made the difference. If a 9 paddle is to much hookup for you than change the gearing and use that rev box.

Go with 22x11x8 7 paddle or if you can find 21x12x8 7 paddle. Def go with UL if you just drag, will save you some weight.

i just got 22-10-10 8 paddle haulers for my 400ex that has a pipe and k&n and a 13 tooth sprocket in the front should i drop one more due to my stock motor or keep it like it is? i was running 8 paddle haulers on 8 inch rims but would the bigger tire slow me down on the tree trails in florence oregon? plzz tell me if i should adjust my bike or run it as it is thanks

13 tooth is really small. I might suggest a 14 tooth up front. But with 22s a 13 might be alright.

i have 9 paddle haulers, i weigh about as much as you and without the 440 kit i still wasnt getting the grip, im getting 9 paddle extremes after christmas when i get my bike back from the shop, the extremes hook up alot better than the standard hauler, and a 9 paddle with a 14 tooth sprocket will definatly give you the grip and speed

i would go with taller hualer 22 10 10

i completely agree with you on that. and you might be able to get away with a 15t. i know we ran a 16t front on the 416 but that was with 20inch 8 paddles. that bike dynoed at 40hp. so if you were to go with 22's you might want to keep it at a 15t. just my 2cents

I talked to skat trak themselves and they say flat drags go with the 22" 7 or 8 paddle and for hills go with the 20" 8 paddle. and that on a 50hp EX.

EDIT**** Oh ya, thats the extremes on both. they said definitally dont go with the taller haulers, or regular haulers. regular haulers dont hold up to the new 4-stroke power nowdays. again directly fom skat-trak tech.

If all you do is drag........get Hauler Drag Lites. Very light tire made specially for dragging. I wouldn't reccomend going any bigger than an 8 paddle unless you want to lose power and wheelie every time. Good luck on your choice.

22x11x8 8 paddle Ultralights...No better tire for a fourstroke.

I run skat trak haulers 20/10/8 with 7 paddles on my 440EX. You can see my report on how they work at dumont in this forum. Skat traks are extremely lightweight compared to other paddles I have used.

i just bought some 20 10 10 skat trak extremes with 8 paddles. Making the switch from sand skate 2's. hope its a good one. Im running a stroked motor and i wouldnt go higher than a 9 paddle and im over 50hp on the dyno.

Flat draggin 22" tire 7 paddle

Hill draggin 20" tire 8-9 paddle
