I was welding yesterday in shop and about 10 oclock last night my eyes started burning, felt like a bunch of sand was in my eyes. Whats something i can do to have a speedy recovery. PS i was wearing a helmet but i think the film might be worn out

Yes, I know from first hand experience that potato works. We take and grate some potato sort of like uncooked hash browns. Take that and pack it around your eyes for the evening.

the best home cure i have found is to take a wash cloth and run it under cold water...lightly ring it out fold it and lie down and place it over your eyes. it will cool your eyes. works way better than the potato..I work in the welding/ fabricating industry and have had my share of flashes..u dont want one from aluminum that is the worst.

ive found that like...all but froze water works stick it in the freezer untill it gets that icy film over the top then dip a rag in it and lay that over your eyes its cold as hell at first but after you get used to it it feels soo much better. ive only had it 4 times (way too many for me) and i think that works better than the potato. when you wake up in the morning sometimes your eyes will be crusted shut from it and water straight from the cold side of the sink works for that. DONT put warm water on ur eyes though haha that sucks ***!! and yes...get some ddaarrkkk sun glasses youll need them haha
