universal quad parts

Ok, what im wondering is if there are anymore universal bolt on parts that will work from other quads. One example of what i am asking is kinda like the raptor rear shock bolting right into place. It is also an excellent upgrade for those of you who are looking into a rear setup. Anyways, is there anymore universal parts from any quads? FOR 300EX

Don't waste your time with the 400 a-arms, it don't work well. A 350X swingarm and shock is a nice up grade.

that would be awesome if a 350x swingarm would fit. nobody makes an extended one for the 300ex. i am gonna try to find a used 350x one on ebay.

Jeff what would you need to buy in order to make the 350x upgrade work?

What is the additional width and specs of the 350x parts? Does it just bolt right up or what?

From the 350X you need:
Swingarm
Shock
Linkage
bearing carrier
axle
New longer chain

All you need is about 4 or 6 washers to go on each side of the swingarm where the pivot bolts goes through the frame (350X swingarm is a little narrower).

If I remember correctly the 350X swingarm is about 1.5" longer and the axle is a little wider.

Jeff you are correct. My buddy put one on his 300EX a few years ago. I think he used a 3/8 spacer on both sided of the swingarm.

I don't think it's centered exactly. If memory serves, you have to have a larger spacer on one side for the chain to line up perfectly.

Is it a worthy setup? I race mx and I am on a budget. Does it compare to aftermarket swingarms made for the 300ex? Same ? for the axle also.

Yes, it is a nice improvement from stock but the swingarm and shock aren't nearly as good as aftermarket. So if your on a budget, its a great upgrade.

Just to clarify, basically any company that makes an aftermarket swingarm for the 300ex, such as Lonestar, does make extended swingarms.

if anyone else sees this thread
i have a 350x swingarm and shock w/linkage and rezzy for sale
all that is need to bolt this up is a longer chain and spacers for the swingarm
the 250x/300ex carrier and all will work on my swingarm
