I dont think I would worry to much about it.. If you go 12:1 then you should have it done.

You might be ok with the stock rod, you might not. It's cheap insurance for your motor though. Well, not necessarily cheap by any means, but its a whole lot cheaper than replacing broken engine cases or who knows what else when the stocker decides to bust on ya. Your choice, but I highly recommend it.

I wouldnt worry about it to much with a 11:1 piston. But the stocker still could go.

what about a 10:1 would i have to worry about it then?

You can blow a rod with a stock piston. Just depends how fast you wanna go and how much money your willing to spend.
