In recent week krispy Creme dounts filed a lawsuite
against a small business in Belsano,Pa. The law suite is based on
the name of the business. The business name is Krispy Kream. The
business is owned by a good friend of mine and he has had this name
since the 1960s. If the business had any relations to donuts I could see
this as a problem but Jack and his wife(Chrissy) sale Ice Cream. He is a
dear friend, one that would stop anything he was doing to help out a
friend. I have seen him give an ice cream to little kids that drop their
ice cream on the ground. I have seen him go out of his way to make sure
that customers were treated as if he personal knew them. He spends
countless hours just to make his business nice and clean. It's a unique
little ice cream stand that still thinks that the customer is always
right. These people are truely good people. If you ever in the area
visit this ice cream stand it's on route 422 about 7 miles west of
Ebensburg, PA. I'm sure you'll enjoy your experience there. I am
posting this thread because I don't see why a big business aways seem to
get away with sueing the little guy. I liked krispy kreme donuts until
now. If you agree with me that this isn't right then voice your opinion
to Krispy Kreme. Send this to all your friends and help out my friends

thanks

another one sent, it seems to suck that since they are corporate and have lawyers o nthe payroll anyway, just gives them somthing to do, and it would cost him a fortune to just defend himself, the judicial system isnt made for the common man

hey man, who started the business anyway? You say it was started in the 60's well i am pretty shure that Krispy Creme Doughnuts has been around b for that but iono how popular it was all they got to say is that they didnt know their was a krispy creme doughnut place when their business was started. Acually a hour or 2 north of where I live their is a place called Burger King...No not the burger chain but just a lil mom and pop place. they where their b for The burger king chains started. From what i have heard they went to court and the burger king chain cannot have a store with in a certian mile radius (i dont know how much but i think like 10 or 15 miles)

Dear Mr. ,

We appreciate your recent E-mail.

Unfortunately, this business is violating our federally registered
trademark...a trademark we have had for more than 50 years. We have not
sued Krispy Kream, but rather have respectfully requested in writing that
they
cease using this trademark within a reasonable time.

While we certainly understand your point of view, like many other
companies, our trademark is our brand and we have to protect it on all
fronts.

Again, we appreciate your E-mail.

Best regards,
Houley Dicko
