xbox or ps2?

ok i told my mom i wanted either an xbox or ps2 for x-mas. im leanin more twards the xbox because i like the games more that it has to offer and stuff. i also like how u can play 4 players vs the ps2 you can only play 2 players unless u got a multi tap. what would u guys get?

i had a ps2 it broke down i had to pay to get it fixed ended up doing it again a week later so i decided to just get a new one thinkin maybe i had bad luck with that one and then a year later the new ps2 did the same daym thing so i pushed it in the corner and bought a xbox and the thing runs like a pro to this day and i would never go back to the ps2

I got both .... and I'll honestly say , I like my Xbox more .... even though they have no ATV games for it ( yet) .

what he said....i had a ps2 for like 2 years and was die hard ps2 simply cause i never played an xbox. i finally got an xbox this summer and honestly can say i will never go back to a ps2. everything about the xbox is better you will love it.

Xbox. Had a Ps2 and got the disk read error after a year. Got an Xbox for christmas. Sold the Ps2 toEB Games broken and they gave me 50 bucks which I used to buy halo 2. PS2 reliability sucks, a lot of people have the disk read error.

i had both untill my ps2 broke..i liked the xbox alot better anyways because xbox live! rocks

my kids have both systems~ we had the disk read error problem w/ps2 also but i packed up the system sent it to sony and TOLD them to give me a new one, and they sent one out within 2 weeks:D

Never had a problem with the ps2. But it doesn't get used all that much either.

X-box

the x-box is has much more power and speed!!!
but is Micro$oft and because of that some game companies will not let games come out on it!!!

and PS2 online is free and the xbox will cost U, because Mirco$soft wants more money!!

but the xbox has a better processer and graphis card and a hard drive!!

A friend told me that there is a new PS coming out! but I have not seen or read about it coming any time soon!!

Had both, sold both, had both again, sold the PS2. After owning both, twice, I like the Xbox more. The PS2 has a bigger game library but more and more games are coming available for the Xbox. Not only that but as long as I've got Halo 1&2 and Splinter Cell 1&2 I don't need any other games.

To me it's all about the games. Find what games you like to play and that will tell you which to buy.

I love Grand Theft Auto and it's not on xbox.

That's what matters to me.

I would have to say XBOX because it has better grafhics and you can system link and hook 4 xbox's together with 16 people (awsome on halo 1 and 2)....the xbox live it awsome compared to ps2's online gaming...ive had both and my ps2 broke like a month after i got it and then i went out and bought an xbox and it smokes the ps2 by a long shot....you dont have to have those stupid memory cards like ps2 u can just save em on the hdd... etc etc....

Yes they make GTA games for xbox and san andreas will be coming out on xbox early next year

thanks to all u guys and my friends at school and a little thinkin on my part, ive decided im gona get an xbox. i check out the games and stuff online and i like the xbox more. also ive played both systems many times and do like xbox better. thanks guys:)

honestly i like my gamecube...but between those two its a really tough decision...thats why i bought both of them!

to my knowledge there isn't a new playstation coming out until then end of 2005 or 2006 unless you are talking about the PSX that has be proclaimed the worst playstation console every by the Japanese(already released there). i think the gamecube is directed more for children. the ps2 and xbox have more mature type of games. i say if you don't have to have atv orf 1 & 2 get the xbox. because sooner or later gta will come out on xbox.

ya true enough, there are like 1 maby 2 atv games on xbox but the grapihs and game type arent very good.

isnt mx unleashed or any type dirtbike game on xbox???

I had a PS2 and it got the disk read error. Thats when I decided that after wasting a good $300+ on video games that they were nothing but a waste of time and money. I would rather spend that much on a woman...at least you get something in return:devil:

lol, not everyones looks that good though. If you get into a long term thing, you might be dusting off that ps2 later on.:D

xbox has too many buttons for me and its too complicated. ps2 has all the buttons in thumbs reach. but my friends have halo 2 parties and i dont get invited because i have a ps2. im gonna have a mx vs. atv unleashed party with all the rednecks in the class (sein how theyre big mx and quad junkies) and not invite the halo 2 guys:blah:

more of the xbox buttons are in reach of the thumbs then the ps2. the ps2 has 4 shouler buttons and the xbox has 2 triggers. to replace the extra 2 shoulders that ps2 has the xbox controller has the black and white buttons that you hit with your thumb. so technically the xbox controller would have more buttons in thumbs reach than the ps2's.
