400ex carb on 300ex question

If i put a 400ex carb on my 300ex, will i have to use a 400ex throttle cable or use a stock 300ex one?

You can just use the 300ex cable. Mine came with the 400ex cable so i jsut used that, they are the same thing. You just have to switch them at the throttle housing.
