Hello, this is my first post since I bought my ATV a couple of week ago.

When I was riding yesterday I came to a stop and noticed there was smoke coming from my engine, I look over my leg and saw that there was oil on the top of the transmission right behind the cylinder.

I then noticed that the plug bolt for the cam tensioner is missing.
I don't know if the bolt was missing before or not.

But if it wasn't missing, does loosing it can lead to oil leak ???

If not, where can the oil come from &?&&??

Thanks all:huh

Possibly, just replace that little screw in your tensioner first, clean off your engine and check for leaks again. Simple fixes first.:)

Thx for the replie, I went to the hardware store to buy a bolt with the same thread and size and a washer.

I put the bolt back in the tensioner, cleaned my engine, and went for a ride.

So far I didn't notice any oil leak. :)

A quick 1.50$ fix

Thanks!
