shorten an dmc alien?

can you shorten an dmc alien? what will it do? more power-more top end? or will it just be plain junk?

Hey whats up. If you can get to the inside of your pipe without cutting it, than it will be easier to shorten it. If not, youll need a good welder and a sready hand. It will give more power in the low to mid range, great for mx and tight trails but it will also be louder!

well i work at a alum/steel shop...if i take it there and cut like an inch or 2 out of the middle of the pipe and weld it back together what wil be my outcome. i have no problems with the pipe now i am just looking for more power.

i dont think you will get enough power for the trouble,...if it were a rivited pipe such as the hmf, id say go for it, but the dmc sounds like alot of trouble, but if you have the time and skill, go for it. you will get a slight increase in torque and low end power
