400EX headlight removal

When removing the 400ex's headlights, what can I put in place of them so that there is not just a bid hole?

if you leave the black plastic in, you can take a nice wire mesh, or piece of aluminum with holes in it, kinda like the mudscreen on an ac front bumper, paint it black, cut to fit, and black silicone adhesive it in. it looks nice, kinda like a scoop for pulling in air for the oil cooler.

You can buy a hood cover and take the plastic out, cut the remaining red plastic, and bolt the hood on

Here is an ebay auction that has the same type of headlight cover I have.

That would work if you leave the black plastic in. It is about 1/8th inch thick smoke colored acrylic.
