Z 400 VS what????

hey guys,I am new to the site and need some help....how fast are the stock Z 400???What is the top speed on one and how do they compare in a drag race(stock quads)???what can they beat and what cant they beat??one of my frinends told me that it would be a Kvf 700 and a new ktm 125sx?is that true???

well i think they barely beat a 400ex. i duno about a kfx 700 tho. i saw a video of a brute force 750 SMOKE 400ex so i duno if a z could beat a 700. the 450s will beat em along with the DS650 and Raptor660. kfx is obviously the same quad. and i duno really much about dirtbikes so i cant help u there. and i think stock they go like 70, give or take a little. hope this helps.

you might get tore up the the 450's but w/ a few mods and it really comes to life, i'll eat 450's up all day long on mine

First off the top speed of my all stock DVX on asphalt was 71mph and that was checked with a GPS. I have raced my brothers 400EX with K&N filter and jet kit and can beat him easily, the only other bike I have lined up against was a Pred 500 and I could only stay with him until 3rd gear.

my z with cams igntion and yosh pipe eats 400exs and the low end speed matches a stock 450 just enough to keep up with them until u hit the woods after the holeshot it runs dead even with a yamaha yz 125 1998

KTM 125 will eat that thing alive! The 05's coming out have 37 horse!!! on a 200 lb bike. You do the math. Doug gust needs to have the 50 horse yoshi kit on his to outrun 450's. Alot has to do with skill. A 450 will easily out-run a Z, even with mild mods. yes they will beat a 400ex. a v-force, im not so sure about, never rode one. but they wont beat much more, other than utility quads. They too are starting to fall behind in the sport rankings, like the 400ex did a when the Z came out.
