Im running vp, great fuel but on a stock ex not worth the power gain. Although with pipe and filter plus gear i did notice power using av gas. 100 octane and much cheaper. Most airports will sell it to anyone so just stop in and ask. Its 3.50 or so a gallon versus 8.

I ran alochol in my 400ex for a while. I bought the biggest jets made for the stock carb, but they were too small. I started drilling them out to make them bigger. I was able to get the pilot jet right, but the hole in the main jet got so big that there was not enough of the jet left and the threads would break off when I tried to install the jet. I ended up running without a mainjet:eek2: and it was about right according to the spark plug. I also had to turn the needle down with a drill and file so it was a smaller diameter.

i am working on an engine right now that will be on alky...depending on what you are doing with it it is very good,light,cool,but you use alot more.great for drags...if in trail and race apps it isnt worth it,stick to turbo blue or vp....
