i got the pc plastic renew kit and i read all the instructions...they warned that most ppl who were unsatisfied with their job didnt sand the plastic well enough. i sanded the crap out of it with the finest paper they give you in the kit. its 400 i think. and i wet-sanded like your supposed to. anyway the finish is a uniform matte yellow. even with the gloss chemical they supply it has no shine at all. should i go out and get my own paper in a finer grit and use an orbital sander? i dont see how you can get a ''showroom shine'' like they say with only 400 grit. has anyone else used this stuff and gotten good results?

i have use it on my 400 and i have to say it was a pain i only used up to the 400 grit and i did get the show room shine of course it wasnt show room but it was shiny so i would say try it again and this time sand till you cant sand anymore aand then sand some more. i use and eletric sand for mine and a hair spray bottle to keep it wet. but make sure you use a good helping of the chemical on it and do many layers it wont shine until about the fourth coat. and i think that that is all i did.

o one more thing whatever you do do not use chemicals like and atv was or anything like that to clean it it will give it wht dots and marks alll over believe me it isnt very attractive. . and good luck.

yeah the kit worked like a charm for a rear white dirtbike fender i did, the second time i did it on the side panels i used a 1500 grit from sears and that worked even better

You have to sand the plastic A LOT! I use up to like 800 grit and steel wool it last. Then put 5 or 6 coats on, then steel wool it again then another 5 or 6 coats. It'll look like new ;) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v490/1BAD4HUNDI/DSC00880.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v490/1BAD4HUNDI/DSC00885.jpg
