Has anybody put a Big Bore kit in a TRX 90? C&D sent me a quote on the price but what else do I need to add If I go to the big Bore?Do I need a new carb, cam or just the kit?

an 11-1 piston and cam plus an exhaust really wakes up the 90. we went with a stock bore piston and it rips!

go up a tooth on the front sprocket and also there is power to be had by advancing the fly wheel.

Pappy

Did you advance the fly wheel by using a offset key?

What kind of cam?

Thanks

we used the powroll kit on advice from gt thunder.

we have not advanced the flywheel as of yet but again, based on the information gt thunder and colby at c&d gave me thats a hot little trick

The big bore kit alone will not do alot for you. A big carb and pipe would also be needed. Minimum. Its all a matter of how fast you want to go and how much you want to spend. Cam, porting, big valve head, ignition system and a 5spd. manual trans. would be nice too but how far do you want to go!

Figured on porting. Already bought a pipe and header, but I was not sure about the carb. I am looking for a good place to start and work our way up.

you do realize that there are quite a few prepped 90's that will smoke your 250ex dont you:devil:

id imagine he has a kid and the kid maybe not old enough to race in any other class or the kid maybe small and a 90 is what he feels is safe for him to handle size wise.

you can build the 90 engine using most of the common building tools....cam, pistons, overbore, stroker and pipe it, flywheel advance, use gearing, good airfilter etc.

then you drop a good rider on the quad and let it eat:macho

I will say 1 thing. That cody at his age on this 90 will keep up with you in the woods anywhere you will go. This little mini quad will flat out fly. It is unreal how fast these mini quads can be made to run! If you got the money they have the parts. Cody is a GREAT rider. And this is one fine Trx 90. I couldn't believe how fast Michaels 70 is. Best $1200 I ever spent. And to think I can even make it faster. Well this plenty for now. But pappy you said 1 thing and it is the rider. And our kids have proved that.

Pappy tell every1 we all said Hi.

Becasue at his age that is what he has to ride. He was riding a 300ex but he cannot race it. So we sold it and are building a TRX 90.

Just wanted some info on Big Bore Kits and what was needed to go along with them. Seems the topic got off track.:D
