is there a such thing as a bolt on engine kit?:
Bolt on means just bolting on parts to make a engine stronger and faster such as a bigger carb, a aftermarket pipe, aftermarket ignition, etc, not taking the main part of the engine apart, IE: the head, cam, crankshaft, etc.
To answer your question, yes there are "bolt on" engine kits and they work pretty good.

o because i heard someone say there was a bolt on big bore kit and i thought u had to bore it out and not just bolt it on
I see what you mean now.
Yes, there are "bolt on" big bore kits. You get a new bigger cylinder, bigger piston, correct rings, gaskets, etc, everything you need to just bolt it on your engine and go. It all bolts right on with out modifications to your engine.

wow really are they any good and how much
Its really in the way a person looks at it. Yes, there are ready to go everything you need "bolt on" big bore cylinder kits, but is that really just a simple "Take it off, and bolt on the new part" job?
A rule of thumb is: You touch any part inside of an engine that connects to the crankshaft, you are past the simple "bolt it on and go" stage.
