If you dont have a powder hook up its gonna be expensive.. people dont realize how much powder each wheel uses. But it looks sweet. My 450R has black wheels and i think it looks sick.

Powder coating wheels is not that expensive if you compare it to buying new wheels!

just rattle can them, its cheaper, and you can touch them up as needed. then once you get tired of it, spray some paint remover on it and yuo can have shiny wheels again.

why bother spray painting wheels? its just gonna come off and they look good polished anyways. my suggestion is leave em or save up and buy some used hypers that will be alot better quality and durability plus they wont look horrible and all scratched up.;)

Not all of us own a PC shop either Pappy. So your saying that I can get more wheels done at 75 cents each..OK, Ill send about 100 next week. Now we know what cost is to PC them now tell these guys what you charge per wheel.

i painted my rims before, and they last a little bit, but then when i went muddin, the mud dryed on the rims, and went i went to wash it, the mud came off with the paint. Not a good idea, mabye if you're gonna be in the dunes.

The paint should last better then that. You probably did something wrong. Did you sand and prime the wheels? Then paint and clear coat?

Cause my frame is just painted and the colour last really good. not as good as PC maybe but it'S alot cheaper.

if you put 2 coats primer.. 3-4 coats of paint.. youll have a stroong cover of paint

any other ideas to make it stronger than that?

44oEX

put some clear coats on it.

honda_runner

Yeah, i didn't sand them down, but i did prime them.

44oEX

yeah sanding is the most important. you need a very clean surface for the paint to stick on.
