I hear alot about, "i just jetted this" and "i just jetted that". What does jetting mean and what function does it have towards the quad anyway?

Thanks JB

Since our quad are not fuel-injected like cars, it is important to rejett your carb in weather or altitude changes. People also rejett carbs when you run no lid because your motor is getting more air, so you have to change the mainjet to dump more gas in with that extra air. Pretty simple huh?

Jetting refers to the jets which control the fuel mix in the carb. Whenever you add mods like a bigger piston, exhaust, etc... you will need to rejet the carb to ensure a proper air/fuel mix.

It's not just a performance thing. if it gets to lean really bad things will happen to your motor. ;)

Speaking of jetting, I really hope you jetted your quad for that full exhaust system! If you don't know how, plenty of people here will help you out.
