Spocket sizes?

If i am looking for more power for say, getting out of turns on an MX type track, or for hitting the throttle for a jump, would changing the front/ back sprocket help that at all (in addition to the normal upgrades, exhaust, jetting, filter, airbox mod)? And which way do i go? Up a size or down a size? And how much does changing this affect the overall performance of the quad?

More excelleration- down 1 tooth in front or up 2 teeth on rear. Make a pretty significant difference,after changing to a 14 tooth front,I can let the clutch out with no gas, pulls much harder and revs quicker. Not bad for a 25 dollar mod!:cool:
