I did some research and i came up with the answer YES because the Honda 450 has 449cc and the yamaha has only 439cc! For the price I would go with the honda.:D

Before the yfz's even came out i was told that they would be 440 and then bumped up 10 more the second year cause of 440cc restrictions. Then when it came around to the 2nd year of yfzs and it still didnt happen so im glad the info was legit and they are doing it now.

10cc vs electric start? For the price you still get a slower machine. Your the new Bill Gates huh?

They are only 300.00 difference! Your like Bill Gates going to the museum on the "free day" cheap!

$6899.00 - $6499.00 = $400.00 not $300.00
Even if you do get a "slower machine" which is objectionable, you also get a Honda which history has proven time and time again to be unprecedented in reliability. And that $400.00 will go a long way towards making the 450R kick the YFZ's butt. Speaking of butt your's won't be hurting nearly as bad either after riding your 450R as compared to the YFZ.

If you're trying to argue that the YFZ is a better value than the 450R I totally disagree.

Sometimes there is a replacement for displacement. I can beat Mikes crf450r on my beefed up WR 426 all day long. More displacement doesn't always mean its faster. From what I seen the stock yfz (uncorked) is faster then most 450rs.

I think the black 450r's are sweet though, and I would like to have one if I had room for it.

Somebody give me both let me mod the hell out of both for free of course!, run the GNC series with them, and i'll get back to okay? Does that sound fair enough, sounds great to me.

The cannondale is only 432 and keeps up with both and maybe faster stock for stock. Like some said already, more cc's doesn't mean more speed.

Everyone always fails to mention the YFZ's seat....its like sitting on a rock! I couldnt imagine a full day of trails on that thing:uhoh:

how much do you all want to bet, that along with a displacement increase on the yammie, the compression will go down as a result...those things are barely holding together now!!;)
