View Full Version : K&N filter, would I need to re-jet??
I already have a Yoshimura exhaust on my 400ex and I did not re-jet it. I was told that it didn't need. But if I put a K&N air filter on, would I have to re-jet?? Thanks!

always rejet when switching from stock to aftermarket exhaust, expecially with a new filter.
What would happen if I don't??
BTW, how much are jet kits?? ....avg.

You could lean out the motor and do some major damage! I think I paid like $50-$60 for my jet kit. You should have re-jetted when you got the pipe.

Man, I can't believe people pay 50 bucks for a jet kit. How about you just go buy the next 2 sizes up from stock and try them out. Then take all that extra money you saved and spend it on something else, instead of having a bunch of extra jets laying around.
Is jetting something you can do yourself?? Or most likely a cycle shop??

how much is a jet? I think I can get them around here for 5 a piece. The kit also includes a shorter/thinner needle.

Jeff you've been on this site for about 2 or 3 years now and you still post everything in the open section like it's your first time on a forum. I've explained to you over the years to quit posting your quad power up or add on questions in the open forum. Do you not understand that the other forums are there for specific reasons. Like Jetting question in the power train section. Your clueless or brain dead man..
If i were still a mod I'd ban you just to prove a point to you and your ignorance..:blah:
