Stay away from the White Bros. CDI it has a hard time starting the quad on cold and gloomy days.

I have a DynaTek ignition and it is great when I have it. Unfortunately, DynaTek is having some problems with the circuit board getting fried. I've gone through 3 iginitions now.

I would have to agree with the dynatek; big difference in power with it. So far, it hasnt gone out yet. Spend the money on the dynatek.

I was just getting on here to ask the same question about a cdi/rev box. Does the GT Thunder do anything to the spark curve, or does it just let the motor rev to a higher rpm?

The best CDI is "GT Thunder".

gt thunder has 2 boxes for the 400ex, one is more aggressive. i have the aggressive one and the idle is a bit irratic but nothing too bad. the throttle response is much greater with this box on than the stock one. the bike just feels quicker. i believe it advances the timing 6 degrees so you can not run the sparks key with this box. the less aggressive box still raises the rev limit but won't have quite the spark curves. you will get a good idle out of it though. for more info, just call up laz.
