I rode a 02' CRF450R last night for the first time, man was it smooth through the whoops. I'm thinking of ditching the 416EX for a CRF. I'm 33 so I won't be racing by any means, just playin' around, also if I want to get something for the kids, a bike is nearly half the price.

What do you guys thick?:D

I had a GSXR-750 back in the day, but as far as dirt I've only ridden a CR125 about five years ago, but I felt pretty good on the CRF450, I'm 6'1", 240lbs. It felt good to me but I never took it over maybe 40mph on gravel. The power seemed very smooth and managable like you said.

I recently got a crf250r. I also have a yz125 and a mojave. I like having both bikes and quads because different riding situations are more fun sometimes with bike and sometimes with quad... I rode my quad for the first time in about 6 months and I really miss doing it. But whatever you feel better on you should get... or both ;)

i use to be into bikes til a few years ago, ive ridden yzf and crf the crf is alot nicer bike but if you ask me at y our age no offense but i would stick with the quad if your not gonan race, because bikes just equal broken bones....i dont really have any desire to get a bike, i ride 50s all the time but thats it

i have 3 bikes and 2 quads, ive been riding bikes a lot longer than i have quads and its a lot different, they both have there advantages and disadvantages, you will spend alot more time trying to stay upright on the bike and you will need to be in fairly good shape to ride for long periods. the bike will be alot more dangerous for you too, i have made a whole lot more trips to the ER from bike accidents than i have quad(im working on being the next bionic man with all the titanium i have in my bones now) most people i know that switch from quads to bikes usually want there quad back within a couple months.

pappy, that looks like a good pick of what happens almost everytime at the first turn in the start of a race. it sucks when ya go down and everyone just runs over your *****.

I made the mistake of switching to bikes over the summer. I sold a nicely modded YFZ450 to buy a 2003 YZ250F. The decision was based solely on the fact that bikes where cheaper. Well, after a few rides I decided that I am not cut out for two wheels. So now I have a shiny new TRX450R in the garage next to the 250f that I'm trying to get rid of. I would spend some serious seat time on a bike before making the decision to switch. If I had done that it would have saved me a lot of time and hassle.

i used to race bike all the time for years and i kinda grew out of them.not to mention the fact that when i turned 21 i needed something with four wheels instead of two if ya catch my drift.
not only that but i crashed way to much on my bikes

I've always rode bikes, until like 8 yrs ago. Always had both since then.
