440 sleeve

I've put in a 440 sleeve and want to know how much clearance I should have between it and the engine case. Thanks for any input.:eek2:

as far as i know there isnt a set standard clearance spec. for that.
does it not fit or something?

Fit the cylinder on the case without piston- should be a little movement in all directions (check with just the sleeve going in case).If ok, install on down on dowel pins- should slide on without binding. Most problems occur front and back where the cases don't line up real good.

you DO want a bit of slack there. when the bike heats up, the sleeve will expand. if it expands but can't expand as far as it wants too, you could put added stress on the piston and cause some damage.
