ok well i bought these of a guy on this site, they have grease jerks for every bushing, top and bottom a arms. well on the top a arms the guy had them set up so that they were facing up when they were installed. i figured he knew what he was doing and bolted them up like that. well i noticed after goin to the mx track that both of the front top ones have been snapped off. are the top a arms grease jerks supposed to be facing down with the a arms bolted up?

well if they were installed correctly then id say you (or the fella you bought them from) drilled and installed the zerks incorrectly.

you can notch your frame if you want to but thats your call.

zerks are availble on burgard arms only if requested. i cant say if burgard installed them or they were done by the person you bought them from. when they are installed they are usually installed on the bottom so that they dont contact the frame such as in your situation. and yes, ive seen them installed wrong but if he ran them before you bought them then id have to geuss you either have them installed incorrectly or the previous owner notched his frame. now if these were new id have to say they were wrong from burgard but once again...i dont know that information?

here is the best picture i have ...maybe it will help you figure out if you have them on wrong. look at the area where the upper ball joint threads into the arm. the arm should be flat there, even with the ground. if its pointing downward they are incorrect.

thanks for the help pappy, i have them installed right.. he must have notched his frame. what would u suggest i do now that i have 2 holes in my a arms? i dont think i will be able to just put new ones in because i think it messed up the threading and one is half way in there still..

thanks, kyle

just leave them out. when you get ready remove them and have new zerks installed where they belong.

yeah I bought mine used too with zerks and I had to milled the frame down a bit but I made it very clean and I think that only one person saw it so far.
