I want to put a starter button on the 400. Not sure exactly how to do it. The stock button broke. I want to put an aftermarket push button on it. Also, is there anything i can do with the lights, i plan on puttin some frame mounted trailtechs on pretty quick. is it possible to run a toggle switch or something like that to operate the lights too? thanks for any help and info

You can use a dirt bike kill switch. I prefer the kawasaki KX style myself. Just follow the 2 wires from the started button, cut the wires and splice the wires in. I personally recommend you take the xtra time and soldier all your connections and cover them with shrink wrap then tape them up.

You can get them just about anywhere, www.rockymountainatv.com is a good place.

This is what I did for my old 300 when my starter button wasn't working right. I used a RM killswitch and it worked great.

I have this setup and as far as your lights I took the controls for the lights and mounted it on the frame under the hood

I have one of these starter switches and have not hooked it up yet. This will take away my off switch right. Then just shut it off with my tether?

Yeah I took off the peice with the light switches etc. and mounted my key on my frame below the front fender. I just used my key switch to turn mine off but your tether will work too.
