Z400

I have owned a 400ex before but I'm looking for something different. Are the new Z400 better then the older ones that are out. Are the still having frame issues of did the solve that problem. I Would really like to get one but if they have problems I wouldn't want one.

They have fixed most the kinks out of them by now. yes the frame is fixed. but if you are looking for just more power out of a quad, i would go for a 450 kit or a 450r or something. because jumping from a 400ex to a z400 isnt THAT big of a difference. i also own one. they are really nice quads.

They did fix the shock mount frame problem on the '05's which was were it cracked the worst. The did not fix the lower front part of the frame that bends when you hit something with one of the front wheels or land a jump on one wheel to hard.

If you are looking for a new quad, I would just spend the extra bit for a 450R unless reverse is mandatory IMO. I agree with YZrida there is very little difference between the EX and the Z. The only difference is that the EX's powerband hits earlier than the Z's.
