ok i got a 00 400ex and i have been thinking and i dont really like the idea of dumping alot of money in it this winter to have it try and run w/ the 450 since i flat track race i am looking almost 3g to get it to run w/ them so i went today and looked i went to the one shop and they were complete *********s i stood in there for half and hour to 45 mins till a salesman would help me and they looked at it and said it was rough looking and beat they would only give me 1500 i looked and laughed i said that mine looks nicer than those 2 u have sitting your your show room now and that your gonna give me 1500 for it and sit it in there for 3500 i said i'm not stupid and the sales guy walked away so i went to my local shop and they said they'd give me 2200 for my 400 so after they paid my loan off and everythign i'd be like financeing like 7400 on an 05 black 450r.. but i'm gonna put some cash down on it and prolly get it i just hope everythign can work outs on this one.

i think 2,200 is still way to cheap. around here they go for like 3000

That sounds about right to me. Ive got a friend that got 2800 for his 03, I got offered 2300 for my 01. Both are stock

there is only 1 shop in my town so they have no real compition so they dont have to worrie about lowering there prices too low to compete

Okay, lets think about this. If around you they are getting 3000 why would a dealer give him more than 2200? It's a "trade-in" they won't give him full price. Also Pat, that's a really high trade-in price for a 300ex so if it is like that around you then concider yourself lucky.
