Most power under 96db....

Just picked up a YFZ. Need a pipe that will pass sound tech in CA. Must be 96db or less. I know one of the mags had a pipe shootout not long ago, but I don't have it. Any help appreciated.

That shootout was in the Aug. '04 Dirtwheels. They tested 12 pipes for HP and dB. Their goal was to find the best pipes under 96dB. Dubach's came in 1st with 47.1 peak hp @ 94.5 dB. FMF Factory 4 was right behind in their opinion with 46.9 hp @95.1 dB. HMF, ESR, and White Bros were also very good, but all tested over the 96dB limit. That is just the basics from the article, but I hope that helps.

Nac's is right on with that statement. Two Bros pipe was the quietest pipe in the test next to stock. I t rated in at 46.3 hp @ 91.2 db. There is definitely some good potential there,
