i got my cylinder bored .20 over. what is this equal to in terms of the size of a 440 or a 416. how much did you guys get it bored over on the stock cylinder?

I think it's a 416 but it might be a 406. Not sure.

no, it would be closer to a 401-402. a 416 is .080 over. a 406 is .040 over.


by the way, i assume you mean .02 and not .2 correct???

.2 means .2cm so its a 2mm overbore which is 416cc

it was taken 20 thousands of an inch.

Sikblak, In your first post you said ".20" and then you said in your last reply "20 thousadths".

.20" is 20 one hundreths of an inch, .020" is 20 thousadths.

Just clearing that up for ya;) :p .

yes, if we are talking .020, it isn't too much. it is a nice overbore that will clean up the cylinder wall, but it is smaller than a 406. a 406 is .040 over (1mm).
