just bought a edelbroke 38mm carb for my 400ex. is this carb any good? will i notice a difference over stock? any power gains? was $200 to much for it?

do you have a pipe and filter(i hope)if not put them and you will see a difference .
i just put a 400 carb on my 300ex and i can see a difference and i put a pipe after and i saw a big difference!:D

here is th estuff i have done.

bored 20 over with a wiseco high comp domed piston, dmc alien full exhaust, alum air box w/ no lid, twin air filter, sparks timing advanced key, wb rev box, they are motor mods that i have done. but i still have stock carb. but i only had it jetted with choke out.

so will i see a big diffrence. also what is mm on stack carbs?

is it the quiksilver carb? if so you wont notice a ton of gains riding but if u get next to someone and drag race before and after u get the carb u will see a big different. the stock size on the 400ex carb is like a 36 or 38 i cant remember but its a ****ty carb

how much do you want for your stock carb... i strip one of the screws out trying to move my needle clip... :-(

well i didnt get the carb right yet. i will be getting it next week sometime. if you are still interested in it then and didnt get another one ill sell it 55 shipped? this carb hs no choke and has it jetted for an dmc pipe.
