Electrical Probs

Having some major electrical problems. I've replaced the starter button and ceilionode. Theres power coming off the battery but it won't fire up. If you touch the two wires together at the ceilionode it fires right up. Any info on this problem would be helpfull...

did u replace the one under the gas tank ...????? and what kind of starter button did u put on it....i put a moose d/b kill switch on mine and i had some wire crossed and could get it to start...let me know what u have goin on and maybe i can help..

I replaced it with a stock starting assembley switch. Are you talking about the wiring harness under the gas tank?

I looked it over and still can't find the prob.

the solenoid that is under the gas tank is that the one u replace...its the ignition coil if u did....will the bike turn over at all??? or does it just do nothing....and what wires were u jumping to get it to start let me know man ...so i can try and give u a had to get ya runnin again....did u splice into any wires or did u just reconnect them into the the starter assembly...is it a whole knew assembly???

I changed the ceilionode by the battery. The red and black wires going to that ceilionode are the ones I cross and it fires right up. The hole assembley is brand new and no wires where cut and spliced. It wired up the same as the original. The only thing I can figure is, there might be a bad ground somewhere.

It turned out to be a severed wire near the wiring harness. It was grounding out on the frame. Oh well, it works great now and just in time to rip it up on the weekend.

Yes thats what i found out 2..............
